Space for girls

My local park is dominated by boys or young men, who either play football or use the skate park. There is very little space for me and my friends to meet up and spend some time together. We are 11 and like the swings but there are just two of them and they are too small for some of my friends. We also use the play area for little children but we do not feel welcome there. There is very little for us to do in the park. We would be happier if there were some trampolines, adult size swings, hammocks, climbing walls, and elevated sitting areas. We want the park to be a friendlier and safer space for older girls.

Becase better designed parks help young girls to grow in independence and confidence.
